Junior Secondary (Classes 6 - 9) 4 years. 12 subjects are taught in these classes: 

Content: The syllabus covers core subjects and electives. In grades 6-9 the curriculum consists of 12 subjects:

    • Mathematics.

    • Science.

    • religion

    • Tamil language (first language).

    • English.

    • History.

    • Art.

    • Geology.

    • Health and Physical Education.

    • Practical and technical skills.

    • Sinhala Language (Second Language).

    • Information and Communication Technology

 

 

 

Senior Secondary

Senior Secondary (Grades 10 - 11) 2 years.

Students study six core subjects (Religion, First Language, English, Mathematics, Science and History subjects). Students also choose three optional subjects from the following: Basket-1: Sinhala/Tamil as Second Language, Geography, Civics and Commerce and Business Studies), Basket-2: Arts and Language Literature, Basket-3: Health and Physical Education, Agriculture and Food Technology and information and communication technology. Upon completion, students   appear for the Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (GCE O-Level) examination  .

Advanced level (grades 12 and 13) 2 years. 

Upon completion of this 2-year course (grades 12 and 13), students   sit for the Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (GCE A-Level) examination  . Students also choose three subjects from the following (Tamil, Islam, Geography and Political Science. General Information and General English are compulsory.
